Speyfest Youth

Speyfest 2017 Youth Programme

Speyfest strive to deliver a varied program for our youth supporters in the lead up and during the festival weekend.

Speyfest Young Entertainer Competition

The Speyfest Young Entertainer Competition was introduced to the festival in 2015 and has proved to be an

exciting development. Budding artistes (instrumentalists, singers, dancers, poets and comedians!) are invited

to audition with a series of heats starting in June.

The first heat will be held in the Bellie Kirk, Fochabers on Sunday 25th June at 7pm.

Semi-final taking place on Saturday 22nd July as part of Fochabers Gala Week.

The final will be held at the Speyfest tented village on the afternoon of Saturday 29th July with the winner being offered the opportunity to appear on “The Bothy” Stage on Speyfest Sunday.

The finalists from 2016 were invited to take part in a concert tour which saw them showcase their talents both locally and further afield, culminating in a packed house at Sabhal Mor Ostaig – and we hope to do this again with the 2017 finalists.
