Dàimh (pronounced Dive) brings together Scottish, Irish and Canadian Celtic musicians. Combining the traditions of each, the charging pipes and fiddle combined with banjo, mandola, guitar and bodhrán, has seen them nominated as ‘Best Group’ at the most recent Scottish Traditional Music Awards. Joined on vocals by the Mod Gold Medalist, Calum Alec MacMillan, from the Isle of Lewis, the group has added the depth and power of Gaelic song to an already phenomenal instrumental sound.

With their latest album ‘Diversions’ (Greentrax) released on May 1st the band has just completed a Tune Up tour of Scotland with Irish legends Buille. Speyfest sees them play one of their few Scottish festivals in a season packed full of European and English appearances. Renowned as one of the most versatile and dynamic live groups to have emerged from Scotland their performances have been described as: “One of the most exhilarating acoustic bands on the Celtic map.” Irish Music Magazine “Daimh have a reputation for producing traditional music that is as skilful as it is high octane.” The Herald “Awesomely tight yet thrillingly wild.” The Scotsman
