Wednesday 'In Session'
Wednesday 30th July 2008 7:30 PM
Price: £5
Venue: Festival Club
If the first two "In Session" nights are all about the experience and performances that come from years on the music circuit, tonight's
guests are quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting new bands on the traditional music scene. The Outside Track formed when
they were students at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick and the band members still have an average age of under 25.
A truly international line-up from Scotland, England, Ireland and Canada and boasting a finalist from this year's BBC Radio Scotland Young
Traditional Musician of the Year competition amongst their number, the talent on show in such a young band is outstanding.
Support comes from Orkney based singer-songwriter Frank Keenan. He is an extremely accomplished musician
with the ability to draw his audiences into the performance and it is no surprise that he has built up a huge band of devoted fans over the years.
When the stage shuts down the music will continue in the bar with the entertainment likely to see us into the wee hours.
