The Wilders
The Fochabers Fiddlers
Tiller's Folly

The Fochabers Fiddlers played at the very first Speyfest back in 1996 and although the faces have changed, this group remains a real favourite with the festival crowds. Amongst their many performances in the last year was a trip to The Royal Albert Hall for a charity gig with an audience of thousands. Under the leadership of James Alexander, the current crop of youngsters is sure to get the Friday Concert off to a rousing start.

Making the journey all the way from the Pacific North-west coast of Canada, this will be the "Tillers" third trip to Speyfest. Celebrating the close ties between Scotland and Canada, their music evokes memories of a pioneering age and the Scots who went to seek their fortune in a foreign land. And having won a legion of loyal fans on previous visits, Bruce, Lawrence and Nolan will be making what's sure to be a popular return to the festival.

From Kansas City, The Wilders are a four piece band, performing Americana classics with a touch of southern drawl. Fiddle, bass, guitar, vocals and dobro produce a classic old-time sound drawing inspiration from the era of Hank Williams amongst others. The Wilders sets are full of energy and have been described as a one band American roots music festival. This will be one of the highlights of Speyfest 2010!
